DearTomorrow,

The costs are coming down and to me it seems like a no brainer. The sun is beating down on us. Why not capture that energy?

Dear Grey,

I am here visiting in Portland, the city where you born December 21st, 2016. Portland is a great city. They are already doing so much for climate change. I live in Durham, North Carolina. Our city is trying but they are not up to Portland standards.

I can tell you what I have done to help global warming. I have put solar panels on my roof. I hope everyone does that. The costs are coming down and to me it seems like a no brainer. The sun is beating down on us. Why not capture that energy? I also have put in a very environmentally sound driveway that allows the rain to soak thru to the soil and below so it does not run off into the street carrying bad stuff to our water supply.

There are many things a consumer can do to offset our carbon footprint. Where I live I do drive a lot. We do not have the good transit system that Portland has, sorry to say. I know that driving is not good and I would like to get an electric car in the future. It my driving years may be coming to an end soon, since I am approaching eighty years of age. I think you will be around 30 when you read this. I hope you find the world in good shape and that we have done a good job about global warming.

Stay well my sweet child.

Love you.
