Dear future generations,

I first would like to start off by apologizing for the mess we left you all in; the world is a pretty materialistic place and tends to care more about money and power than preserving the planet in which we live. It’s pretty hypocritical if you think about it, because (at the rate we’re currently effecting the Earth) once it becomes unlivable, it is no longer about money or wealth, but survival.

Moreover, I’d like to continue by mentioning that I am doing my part as a citizen, by recycling, conserving water, carpooling, and doing everything in my power to negate climate change. Unfortunately, I do not have much pull right now, but hopefully one day I can make a difference. Also, by voting for politicians who legitimately care about the wellbeing of the environment, we can help to save the Earth.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Gorasia descendants,

I will do all that I can, and hope my fellow inhabitants join my pursuit, to nurture this planet.

Dear future self,

I am writing this to keep myself accountable and push myself towards taking action towards a sustainable future. I hope children of the future can still appreciate the wonders that nature and all its beings have to offer, appreciate the beauty in the world around us.

Future Message to Earth,

Hope there will be no more droughts,
And no more pollution with which we fought,
Regarding every human should be taught,
Ensuring that we uniformly follow these thoughts.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to work with my family and neighbors to reduce carbon output.

To My Dear Children, Jackson Carlo and Stella Jane,

I am a better person because of you, and I want the world to be a better place for you.

Dear friends,

Rather than exploit it, destroy it, poison it, why don’t we just enhance the beauty of it, guard it, and love it?

Dear tomorrow,

If there’s one thing young people have learned while quarantining, it’s that Gen Z holds so much power and is capable of a lot more than we think. We’ve created a community that has united us all and started to bring about change for the good of our futures. Now, with the help of Gen Z (and of course, people of all ages), we have the power to save our home, the Earth.

Dear fantastic,

We as the human race are smarter than this struggle at hand and need to rise above large corporate interests and confusion on this topic.

Pick up your trash wherever you go!

Dear Tomorrow

I promise to reduce my waste production

To what we’ve overcome.

The first step would be in overcoming ourselves. Because whether we end up fading into obscurity, or thriving in prosperity, we will overcome ourselves.

To My Friends, Family and Future Grandchildren,

I realize my reflection of the past, current and future state of the environment paints a grim and pessimistic picture, but I feel optimistic in our ability to turn planet Earth’s fate around if we all work together and commit to making a change.
