Dear Daughter or Son,

I always dreamed of a beautiful world for you, where the air is clean as a tear drop and the water pure and refreshing. I always dreamed of a place where people and animals live in harmony in spite of the differences and their inability to communicate in the same language. I always dreamed of a world where humans would support the planet and its treasures and help them to recover instead of exploiting them constantly…

I always wanted you to experience life as it was before it all happened…Before we forgot that our planet is our Mother that feeds us, cares for us and provides us with everything we need. Before we forgot that without our planet; the plants it grows, the animals, the insects, and the soil we would not be alive and would not be able to eat, breathe and develop the way we did…

I always wanted you to experience what I experienced when I was 10 years old and while spending my vacation with my grandparents in a small village in Poland, I was able to drink milk from a cow that was respected and taken care of, not tortured and killed like the cows in todays mass factories…

I always wanted you to not worry about breathing and eating without getting sick or asthmatic or having a lung cancer. I always wanted you to feel safe and happy and feel like you can go anywhere in the world without worrying about being disrespected or not having enough money to survive…

I always wanted you to be healthy and strong and live without a fear of dying from a disease caused by dirty air or water.

I always wanted you to experience a better world where you can grow strong and healthy and have healthy children on your own. A world that would be more compassionate, save and loving. A world that would be covered with flowers and plants not garbage bins.

Therefore, my baby, I make you a promise to do everything I can to make this world better for you and your children. I promise you to be a person who respect animals and cares about other leaving creatures. I promise to do my best to segregate rubbish to make it easier to recycle and reduce waste in the world. I promise you to stop using plastic bags for shopping and start using fabric bags to reduce the pollution. I promise you not to burn plastic bottles or anything that would make the air dirty for your lungs. I promise you to keep my eyes open and educate myself about ecology and the little things I can do to help to save this planet from self-destruction. I promise you to always cherish life, look at every single day of my life with hope. I have the power to change the world for a better place to live….not only for you my Baby, but for your future babies, wives or husbands, for your future best friends, for your future most loved dog, for your future favourite teacher and everyone you love… I love you baby and I will do my best to make this world better for you as you are a part of me. Saving you I’m saving myself…

More Messages to the Future

Dear Madeline, Ava, and Harper,

What I wish most for you girls is that the care you have shown each other would extend to the big wide world around you.

Meus filhos,

Devemos conservar nosso planeta. Mas, para se fazer isso, temos que fazer isso juntos. Todos os seres humanos devem estar voltados para cuidar bem do lar em que vivemos e do presente que Deus nos deu para viver: a Terra.

I won’t leave my lights on.

To the future generations,

I hope that you all can enjoy the Smokey Mountains in your lifetime too and that they look how they did back in 2017 when I saw them.

dear future people (:

I hope that people are still enjoying the wonders that nature has to offer.

Dear AC,

I think a lot about where the right place to live is.

To my wide-eyed warrioresses,

Since my two daughters emerged into this world, all of my tomorrows have become more dear.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I’ll replace our lights with LED lights.

To my future children,

It’s not enough to just recycle. I will sign petitions and call my local representatives. I will also engage in conversations about climate change – even with people with whom I don’t see eye-to-eye.

Dear Spike, Loulou and Yoshua,

I’m going to start a campaign to try to convince everybody in the Netherlands to not eat meat one day a week.

Dear Jeremy,

We had a lot in common obviously, and our concern for the planet we live on was one of the many things we bonded over.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to not waste food and eat locally grown food.
